Song Central is Australia’s first independent, internet-based composer driven platform for managing, developing and showcasing original songs and music.

Song Central was developed by songwriters who understand the difficulties of having new work ‘considered’ by industry representatives. This site provides you with storage and backup facilities for your music and unlimited opportunities to have your material showcased and heard by people in a position to use it.

No longer do you need to make phone calls, send out CDs and letters in the hope they will reach the right person and be heard.

I believe creativity should have the opportunity to stand on its own merit and not be dependent on knowing the right people or on the luck of being in the right place at the right time. Not everyone is a great lyricist and a great musician and sometimes, if the lyricist and musician can find each other, the outcome can turn an 'ok' song into a great one. Finding each other has been hard. Song Central enables talented people to find each other online via a particular song or piece of music and I believe successful collaborations will result when the material is the basis for the connection. I also hope that industry browsers make full use of this site to achieve great outcomes for all.
